Dr. Oo practices from a medical model to focus on symptom reduction and improvement in overall functioning. He uses a client-centered, solution-focused approach to identify practical solutions to real-world problems.

Although Dr. Oo primarily uses a cognitive-behavioral theoretical orientation, psychodynamic and insight-oriented approaches are used when appropriate. In many cases, it is important to explore and understand aspects of our past, as they are important contributors to who we are today. However, Dr. Oo believes that while our past is important, we must also identify what practical changes must be made in the present to promote growth.

History has a tendency to repeat itself and we owe it to ourselves not to make the same mistakes.
